Meet Ell

Welcome! I’m Ell, the founder of TREK ‘N’ TRAIN, where my passion for dogs blends seamlessly with professional expertise. As a Registered Veterinary Nurse, I’ve dedicated my life to enhancing the well-being and happiness of dogs. My fascination with Canine Nutrition keeps me constantly learning about the latest in canine diets and health. When I’m not working, you’ll find me in the kitchen, whipping up wholesome meals for both my family and my dogs. I believe that good food is the key to health, offering us the chance to enjoy more years with our beloved pets.

I pride myself on continuous learning, holding a Level 3 Certification in the ‘Principles of Dog Training and Behaviour’ and currently completing my Level 4 Advanced Canine Behaviour Diploma. This, combined with my veterinary nursing background, allows me to understand canine behavior deeply and create tailored training programs.

My two dogs, Deefor and Ember, are my constant companions. Deefor inspired the creation of TREK ‘N’ TRAIN, embodying the benefits of reward-based training. Ember, a rehomed ex-cypriot hunting dog, has taught me the joys of rehabilitating rescue dogs.

When not training, we’re exploring new adventures, participating in canicross races, agility training, and more. Our idea of a perfect day includes long treks and ending with a cozy pub meal. At TREK ‘N’ TRAIN, our mission is to help you build a harmonious relationship with your dog through compassionate training methods.

See you on the trails,

Ell

Meet Gina

Hey! I’m Gina, and I’ve been part of the veterinary world for over 15 years. My journey has taken me from late-night care shifts to mentoring at the University of Liverpool’s Small Animal Teaching Hospital, focusing on ICU nursing. My passion, however, lies in canine behavior and training. In 2020, I rehomed Leo, my XL Bully X Mastiff, and have since watched him transform through consistent, reward-based training.

I’m a proud IMDT member, working towards my Level 4 Advanced Canine Behaviour Diploma. Whether in nurse scrubs or training dogs, my dedication to advocating for our canine friends is unwavering. Leo often joins me on our adventures, and you’ll see him in his muzzle due to new laws—it’s just a precaution.

Grateful for the opportunity to make a positive impact, I look forward to helping more animals and their humans thrive.

Warm regards,

Gina

Meet Hannah

Hello! I’m Hannah, the Head Trainer at TREK ‘N’ TRAIN with over 15 years of experience in the dog training industry. My journey began as a Veterinary Nurse in a first opinion practice and advanced to a referral hospital, dealing with critical patients. Agility training is a special passion of mine, and competing at high levels has deepened my bond with my dogs.

My training repertoire includes obedience, scent work, heel-work, dancing to music, fly-ball, and gun dog work. Additionally, I have a keen interest in holistic health and nutrition, ensuring a comprehensive approach to dog care. As a qualified Canine Myotherapist, I help dogs recover from injuries and improve mobility through targeted therapy.

Being part of TREK ‘N’ TRAIN from the start has been an incredible journey. At home, my spaniels Tilly and Macey, and my Border Collie Fizz, keep me on my toes. Fizz is an agility prodigy, and we have some big aspirations for her—hoping she’ll be a star one day. My mission is to help dog owners build strong, positive relationships with their pets through effective, compassionate training.

Looking forward to meeting you,

Hannah
